A mastermind group!

- Does the business of your dreams constantly feel just out of reach?
- Do you just KNOW there are resources, strategies, techniques and know-how out there that will accelerate your business's growth but you're just not sure how to access them?
- Would you love to be able to pick the brains of fellow entrepreneurs?

I've created for YOU what I wish I'd had access to over ten years ago!!

Sharon Nuttall here. When I began my business over 10 years ago I felt totally at a loss as to how to grow it. I knew I should go "network" but was clueless about how and where to begin.

I didn't have a clue what a "niche" was, how to position my business, how to create a USP (a what?) and how to describe that to others. Elevator speech? Elevator sputter is more like it!

And marketing? I blanche at the money I wasted on traditional advertising and mailing expensive brochures. I might as well have burned hundred dollar bills!

Finally, about 7 years ago, I temporarily threw in the towel and got a J-O-B.  After a desperately miserable year, I vowed that I would NEVER enter a corporate cubicle again. I decided if I was going to work 60 hours a week, it would be for myself, doing stuff I loved, and not to feed someone else's corporate coffers.

Since then, I've read and accessed everything I could on success, business, marketing, and branding! I've read tons of books and newsletters, attended meetings and seminars, listened in on webinars, teleseminars and audios.

And my business has grown exponentially as a result. (Oh, and that 60 hours a week stuff? Forget that, except for those times when I'm so engrossed in what I'm doing that I totally lose track of time!).

But what I've found is that I could have done this all so much less painfully, so much faster, so much more easily, and with so much more FUN -- if I had just been surrounded by a small, select group of like-minded entrepreneurs to walk the path with me! To swap ideas and information with! To strategize with! To hold me accountable!

Together, we could have figured out a multitude of ways to make our businesses soar!

In 2009, I looked around and realized there STILL didn't seem to be the type of group I would have LOVED to have had: A group of business owners willing to drop the facade, pull back the curtains on their businesses and share not only their needs but all the knowledge and resources and experience they've gained. To both help and be helped in a "safe" setting.

And so Breakfast & Brainstorming was born!

"I've moved my business forward so much more quickly..."

Picture
Meeting regularly with a team of fellow businesspeople has made me accountable and kept me on task. I've moved my business forward so much more quickly than I ever would have had I continued to go it alone.

The sooner you move your business ahead, the sooner you can be helping others - which is really what it's all about, isn't it?

"For me, the most beneficial results of the group were the relationships I developed."

Picture
It was helpful to bounce ideas off of others who have had different experiences than I have.  It is always beneficial to get unique perspectives.  Things get triggered that you might never have thought about. Seeds get planted that may yield valuable fruit down the road.

For me, the most beneficial results of the group were the relationships I developed; particularly with Steve Thomson. We are now working together and he is a huge asset to my business and I to his.

"Being a part of this dynamic group propelled me to the next level faster than I could have ever imagined."

I find it incredibly helpful to have the insight of other professionals who are not connected to me or my business so that I can receive a fresh perspective on my goals in a safe, energetic environment.  That is precisely why I participated in Breakfast and Brainstorming.

Each session brought resources and ideas that would not have been immediately evident to me.  I was able to implement a strategy to move forward with my expertise, makeup application for photography and special occasions, along with the connections needed to make this happen.

The accountability to my partners in the group helped me stay focused on my goals and create the necessary action plan to support my vision.  Without the group, I may have figured out a way to attain my goals but being a part of this dynamic group propelled me to the next level faster than I could have ever imagined.

“Being self-employed is a new way to look at life…it’s [helpful being] around other like-minded people…I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a regular job.”

I got so much out of Breakfast and Brainstorming. Already I’ve received 5 – 6 referrals and will be following up on future leads from a commercial real estate agent I met at a networking event I was invited to by a fellow B&B attendee!

Also, the marketing advice was so helpful. I never would have learned about the Dan Kennedy books if not for the group.   I’ve read a couple of them and when I start my postcard campaign in a couple months I will definitely incorporate some of the ideas.

Another benefit of the group is simply being around other self-employed people.  Until now I have always worked a regular 9-5 job.  Being self-employed is a new way to look at life.  I don’t think I’ll ever go back to a regular job. Thanks again for organizing Breakfast and Brainstorming.
